Time a child misses in their instruction presented from the teacher is valuable.  This time and instruction can not be made up and there is no replay.

Any child who is absent from school ten (10) or more days is required to provide a physician's excuse for any absence beyond the ten days. (page 1 FSG Student Handbook)

If a valid excuse is not presented within three days the absence will be recorded as illegal. (page 1 FSG Student Handbook)

Please refer to the FSG Student Handbook for all information on school days missed and the parents/guardians responsibilities.

QUESTION:  SHOULD MY CHILD BRING TOYS TO SCHOOL?

ANSWER:  No.  Each classroom has toys for the children to use during recess time.  There is no need for your child to bring toys, of any kind, to school, unless it is part of a project his/her classroom is doing.   We have had a couple of children bring play guns to school to use during recess.  No one was ever in danger at any time, however, this is not a toy that belongs in school.   ( Refer to handbook under Weapons)  It is the parents/guardians responsibility to make sure that the backpack is checked each morning before your child walks out the door.  As the adult, you need to make sure that your child's education does not have any distractions to prevent learning from taking place.   Thank you for your cooperation and help in this matter.
